Dear readers,

on our website we would like to present the authors of the Palisander publishing house and their books and announce new projects and events.

Our latest release is the English written book "Empty Hand" by Kenei Mabuni, a Japanese grandmaster of Karatedô. Master Mabuni is the head of Shitô ryû, one of the four main schools of modern Karate.

In a series about Karate we are publishing some of the most important books by the famous French Karate expert Roland Habersetzer in German. The volume "Bubishi - An der Quelle des Karatedô" was the first and very successful book of this series. The book "Koshiki Kata" and a book about the Okinawan Kobudô in two volumes followed. The just released third edition of the "Bubishi" additionally contains the "32 forms of boxing of emperor Song Taizu“. This is a complete chapter of the Chinese classic "Ji Xiao Xin Shu" by General Qi Jiguang, published in 1564.

In order to expand our portfolio we published the book "Die Krieger des alten Japan" by Roland Habersetzer, a volume of authentic stories about Samurai, Rônin und Ninja, and the children's book "Komm, wir malen uns ein Lied" by Irmgard Krauthoff and Linde Detlefsen that inspires listening, singing, crayoning, and solving puzzles. On the occasion of the centenary of Germany's world-famous first garden city, Hellerau (today part of Dresden), we published a copiously illustrated book (English/German) and a calendar.

Currently our publishing house is working on a collection of stories of the Canadian author John Okute Sica, a Lakota Indian of the tribe of chief Sitting Bull, who in the first half of the 20th century has written authentic stories and legends about the life of the old Sioux. The manuscript comes from the estate of Liselotte Welskopf-Henrich, the author of famous books about the Dakota like "Die Söhne der Großen Bärin" and "Das Blut des Adlers", who also wrote the introduction to the stories of John Okute Sica.
